Livelihood Programme

  1. 1- Self-help Group Formation and Capacity Building Programme :--

    The selected 20 villages of Khaniyadhana Block District Shivpuri (M.P.) area are tribal dominated villages. These tribals belong to the Shahriya tribe. Due to lack of permanent employment resources in this area, they migrate to other cities/villages in search of employment. have to do it. And due to migration they have to face many types of problems, one of which is economic problem, the main reason for which is the lack of habit of savings among the tribal. Keeping this concept in mind and to teach the habit of saving among tribal women and keeping in mind its good results, 20 self-help groups were formed with the help of rural women. The group members were trained for capacity building on the objectives of the group, process of operation, problem solving and documentation etc. At present, 25 self-help groups are operating in Gwalior and Shivpuri districts and from time to time the organization provides training on joining government schemes and other awareness related topics.

  2. 2- Training For Skill Based Livelihood Activities (Sewing Training and Sewing Machine Distribution Programme) :--

    Migration for employment has been greatly affected during the Corona epidemic in the villages of the work area. Earlier, 90 to 95 percent people from these villages used to migrate to other villages or cities for employment, but this situation has changed after the lockdown. Only 10 to 20 percent people are migrating, the rest want to get employment at the local level, but it is quite challenging to get employment as per their skills at the local level. In such a situation, it is very difficult to manage the family expenses.

    Keeping this situation in mind, a plan was made by the organization to provide tailoring training to women, adolescent girls, youth and needy people at the workplace, the main objective of which is to develop the skills of the people and connect them with employment at the local level also providing them self-employment and employment opportunities. To provide training to the people of the community keeping in mind the new possibilities. To provide assistance in finding new employment opportunities and to help adolescent girls and women develop their skills and become economically self-reliant.

    Tailoring training was provided to 320 girls and women through 40 trainings in 20 villages. And out of these, 20 needy women were selected and provided with sewing machines along with materials.

  3. 3- Grain Bank Formation and Capacity Building Programme :--

    The problem of food is a big problem for the people of the tribal community. At the time of harvest, they keep some part of the crop with themselves and sell the rest in the market, the main reason for which is the lack of proper maintenance arrangements. Under its work area, Kadam Jan Vikas Sanstha, with the help of Paul Hamlin Foundation, should ensure timely availability of grains and seeds to the people in 20 villages of Khaniyadhana block of Shivpuri district (MP) and free them from debt Money lender. All these objectives have been achieved. Keeping in mind the fulfillment of the above objectives, grain banks were formed in 20 villages of Khaniyadhana Block, District Shivpuri (M.P.) area. Formation of Grain Bank: Grain Bank was formed through processes like tour, public contact, meeting discussion, lecture, group discussion etc.

    In this grain bank, at the time of harvest, the members associated with the group deposit their crops in the grain bank where it is kept safe. From time to time the members take out grains from it to fulfill their needs. Grain bank provides grains and seeds to the needy people. Loans are also given through.

  4. 4- Meeting and Training With Group On Livelihood Programme :--

    Due to the impact of the Corona epidemic, a serious problem of employment has arisen in front of the people, as a result of which people had to face a lot of problems in meeting their daily needs. Due to the Corona epidemic, people of the area could not even migrate for labor, due to which Their financial condition became worse, hence, keeping all these problems in mind, the members of the self-help groups, village development committees and grain bank groups operating in the area should develop understanding on new options and means for income enhancement.

    Also, to discuss the options for income enhancement and develop understanding on them, to help in finding new options on income enhancement and to provide training on them and to make the members associated with self-help groups financially strong. Training on income promotion was provided to self-help groups by Kadam Jan Vikas Sanstha in collaboration with Paul Hamlin Foundation. In the training, new sources of income were discussed for the self-help group members to increase their income. Also, the government schemes on Aay Sarvadhan were discussed and explained in detail by the workers of the organization.

  5. 5- Training Of Entrepreneurs For Business (Proposal Making, Documentation and Linkup With Govt. Schemes) :--

    To develop understanding about the collective temple at the local level, to develop understanding on the process of entrepreneurship and operation at the local level, to select and prepare the list of entrepreneurship for group/small group, to develop understanding on the process of action planning and operation. Provide information for planning and develop understanding.

    To provide information about government schemes for self-employment to the people of rural community Training for self-employment on major topics was provided by providing information about grant process and proposal writing etc. This training is done by forming clusters at the village level and in collaboration with government departments for small industries.
